Sports-related Injuries:
Sports injuries can occur at any time to individuals of all ages and abilities
Even minor injuries can result in loss of playing time or inability to exercise
Physical therapy can accelerate return to activity and minimize pain, loss of strength and flexibility, and impaired function following an injury
Proper intervention can help to reduce the incidence of injury recurrence
Post-injury care including physical therapy is recommended by most physicians in order to return to full pain-free function and activity.
Even in cases where surgery is indicated, pre-surgical care has been proven highly effective in reducing the time of healing and post-surgical care is shortened and significantly more efficient.
